Every year the Florida Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association sponsors a one time $500 scholarship to 10 individuals state-wide in honor of Mandy Stoll. Miss Stoll was an outstanding student-athlete that was lost much too young. Lecanto High School has had numerous winners of the FIAAA scholarship along with 2 applicants that were selected as the Florida representative for the Section 3 of the NIAAA scholarship competition.
The minimum requirements for consideration are as follows:
- 3.0 GPA
- Minimum 1200 SAT or 26 ACT
- Transcript showing above through 1st semester of senior year
- Participation in at least 2 years of a varsity sport, one being their senior year
- Must submit a JPEG format picture with application
One female and one male will be selected for Lecanto High School to be considered as the District 8 nominee for the award. If selected as LHS rep and District 8 rep, the applicant will be considered with the other 20 district winners in each of the 5 class breakdowns for an award.
Students may also apply for the NIAAA Scholarship. This will require writing an essay and completing a short application. Requirements are similar to Mandy Stoll Scholarship.
