Lecanto Represented on Commissioner’s Academic Challenge Team

Please congratulate our competitors in the Commissioner’s Academic Challenge if you see them.  Citrus County’s team took 2nd in the state in their division, only beaten by Leon County.  Lecanto was well represented, having three of the six spots on the county team: Moses Diaz (LHS) Stephen Lane (LHS) Jason Sevilla (LHS) Truman Roland (CHS)

Math Field Day Champions

On Saturday, April 13, the annual CCSB Math Field day took place and Lecanto Mathletes brought home the championship trophy. Our students performed at an amazingly high level, in fact 15 out of our 16 teams placed during this competition and did a fantastic job representing our school! Thornton Wins State Gold

Shane Thornton just won Gold Medal in boys weightlifting at FHSAA 2A State Boys Weightlifting Championships in the 154 lbs. classification. He bench pressed  340 lbs. and clean and jerked 260 lbs. for a 600 lbs. total. Congratulations to Shane. He is only the second individual from Lecanto boys weightlifting team to ever win an

Cheerleaders Walk-A-Thon

Cheerleaders are hosting a Walk-A-Thon April 20, 2019 to help raise money for uniforms. Cheerleaders are collecting donations. Monies raised will help new girls buy their uniforms, and returners replace items they need replaced.

Allensworth Signs with Barton College
