Boys Varsity Cross Country · Boys Varsity Cross Country finishes 2nd at Weeki Wachee Invitational

  Place Points
Lecanto High School 2nd 124

In what has seemed to be a common trend for the Lecanto High boys Varsity Cross Country team, they finished in 2nd place for the third time this season. The team made a competitive push to win the Weeki Wachee Invitational this Saturday, but ultimately fell just short of East Ridge High School’s overall score. This runner-up finish is still very impressive, as this meet had 22 boys teams competing. The boys saw two teammates earn medals. Brandon Rydzewski earned a 5th place finish overall with a time of 17:20, with Chase Wilson right behind him for a 6th place finish and time of 17:21. Aiden Weber, Jeremiah Piraux, and Ian Holzer rounded out the remaining top 5 finishers for Lecanto. The boys team looks to continue their strong performances when they head to the Land O’Lakes Invitational next Saturday. This is the final meet before postseason play begins.
