The Lecanto girls basketball team used another stellar defensive effort to run to an early 21-7 lead and continued to win 69-33 over the visiting Springstead Eagles.
The Panthers’ pressure lead to numerous forced turnovers and steals. Leading the Panthers in scoring was junior Jazzy Henry with 18, junior Zay Rome with 14 and junior Peyton Spaulding witb 12.
The Panthers raised their record to 10-3 overall and 7-2 in GC8 play. They travel to Wildwood on Monday.
