The Lecanto girls basketball team started off a little slow but stepped up late in the first quarter to open up a 11-5 lead and were never threatened on their way to a 71-39 victory. The Panthers used a changing defense to force numerous turnovers but struggled to finish early.
Every Panther that dressed scored in the game. Leading scorer was Caitlyn McAboy with 14 and Jazzy Henry added 12.
The Panthers travel to Crystal River on Friday night to face a very tough test vs. the Pirates. JV game is at 6:00 PM.
