Lecanto is excited to be hosting 3 district tournament events this week:  Tuesday, girls basketball vs. Belleview; Wednesday, boys soccer vs. Springstead; and Thursday girls soccer vs. either Springstead or Chamberlain. The Lecanto girls soccer team continued their unbeaten ways (16-0 overall) last night with a 8-0 victory over county rival Citrus. This victory clinched an unbeaten record in the conference (14-0) making them the Gulf Coast 8 2020-21 season champions. Congratulations to all the players and coaches on an outstanding conference season.

The Panther girls soccer team was honored at the recent Florida Athletic Coaches Association District 8 meeting. Two players and two coaches received honors for their play in the past season. There will be a mandatory meeting for all girls wanting to try out for the lady panther soccer team.  The meeting will be  on Thursday October 3rd at 2:45 in the LHS cafeteria.  You must attend this meeting if you are interested in playing soccer this year.
